Roots
Savoy Computing Services have a distinguished lineage dating back
to its roots in the 1970's with the highly respected British engineering
consultants,
Travers Morgan & Partners. Travers Morgan have since been swallowed
by bigger fish but as a result of a management buyout in 1996 Savoy
Computing
lives on and thrives today !
The Team
The current Directors of Savoy have been with the company since
the early days of Track, AutoTrack's predecessor, in the late eighties. Two
of the directors were instrumental in the development of AutoTrack and
involved from conception. All of our staff are highly motivated professionals.
Products
Our portfolio of products is dominated by AutoTrack
for Highway Design,
the first, and still the best, vehicle swept path program. However,
we also market a number of other products, including AutoTrack
for Airport Design,
AutoTrack for Light Rail Design and AutoTrack
Templates. In addition we have undertaken various bespoke software
development projects.
Sales
Our products are used in over 50 countries around the world and we have
dealerships in Australia and several European countries. We do
not advertise (apart from our web site), relying instead on word of
mouth recommendations.
Obviously word travels fast because in the UK nearly every UK local authority
uses our software and since entering the US market we have sold AutoTrack
to 23 US State DoTs.
Support
We have always taken our support role very seriously. We also believe
that software should not stand still but evolve as user needs change
and
develop. It is for these reasons that AutoTrack has been updated,
on average, four times a year over the past five years. Over 90%
of our customers pay extra for the optional support and maintenance contract
so I guess we must be doing something right !
The future
We are justifiably proud of the software we produce and our aim is to
continue to lead the field with highly innovative software. We're
not letting on what's coming next but take our advice....watch this space...
A
History of Innovation
we
lead, others
follow...
